Directions
From the village of Kilmelford on the A816 Oban to Lochgilphead road
take the single track road signposted Melfort and Degnish.
Follow the road for approximately one and a half miles until you come to a
small bridge just before a T junction where you should make a right turn.
Continue through the main gates of Melfort Village, turning right at the tree
and follow the signs for Restaurant and Reception.

We serve light lunches, dinner and we also have a children's menu.

Local Seafood Soup with Home-baked Bread, Warm Salad of Brie with Seasonal Chutney

Please note - due to structural limitations, the Shower of Herring is forced to operate under a Public House Licence which states categorically that children are NOT permitted at any time.
Happily, due to an understanding local Licensing Board, we are able to accept children
at LUNCHTIME & UP TO 8.OOPM
